Consultation, or consultation with same-day treatment
We offer appointments for either consultation only, or consultation with same-day treatment. A consultation visit includes a detailed examination and pulp testing of the tooth or teeth in question and the surrounding structures.
It also involves interpretation of x-rays, which helps us reach an accurate diagnosis. We obtain a CBCT scan, a 3-D image similar to a CT scan but with much less radiation, for a thorough diagnosis. Based on the diagnosis, we will explain the different treatment options available, with their advantages and disadvantages.
Checklist before your initial visit
- Bring your referral form if your general dentist gave you one
- Submit your online patient registration
- Bring your dental insurance card and carrier information
- Take your daily medications as per your routine
- Eat a light snack or meal if planning to have the procedure the same day
- Remember your antibiotic premedication (one hour before the appointment) if recommended by your caregivers for artificial joints or heart conditions
